This program is an approach to Faith Formation intended for the whole family; from Kindergarten - Eighth Grade. (read more ...)

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and RCIC adapted for Children

Catechists work with the Pastoral Minister, the Faith Formation Director and the Process Coordinator, Judi Stewart, to implement the many facets of this process for adults and older children interested in joining the Roman Catholic Church. Parish provided sponsors are sometimes also needed to walk the RCIA journey with a catechumen or candidate.

Vacation Bible School

This program is usually held one week in early August for children entering Pre-School through grade 5. Volunteers work as program coordinator(s); craft, snack and activity center leaders; crew leaders; group aides and music leaders.

Creating a Safe Environment (CASE)

Creating a Safe Environment (CASE) is a mandate from the bishops of the United States. Bishop Clark continues to be a strong advocate for ensuring the safety of those most defenseless in our society, our children and vulnerable adults.

All employees of the Rochester Diocese must sign and abide by a Code of Conduct, attend a workshop on Sexual Abuse and give permission for a criminal and sex offender record check.  This would include all our volunteers who assist with youth or parish programs.

Workshops will be offered periodically throughout the year at various parishes and schools throughout the diocese.

Children's Liturgy Of The Word

Adult volunteers present the readings of Sunday Mass to children in words they understand at the 9:30 am Mass each Sunday. Parents are welcome!
