Many opportunities are available for youth,
parents, and other adults to serve the needs of our youth for fun,
education, prayer, spiritual growth, and service. Our goal is to offer
programs TO, WITH, BY and FOR youth. We have a strong Peer Leading program and many opportunities for young people to
lead in our parish.

NCYC –
National Catholic Youth Conference - every two years St. John’s sends youth and adults to this national three day event. Help is needed to support, prepare and accompany this group. We’re already beginning to do some fundraising for NCYC 2007, which will be in Columbus, Ohio! If you will be in high school, we would love to have you come with us!
Outreach opportunities for youth include service projects with justice education, and participating in parish and diocesan ministries. Adult mentors help youth begin to participate in committees and ministries.
Support Services – There are opportunities for adults to help on an "as needed" basis for chaperoning, faith sharing, transporting, and working on communications/Information Technology and more!
Sports and Recreation
CYOA (Catholic Youth Organization Athletics) exists to help young
people to be more Christ-like in the way they live. CYOA focuses on the total
development of all participants in order to influence the formation of Christian
values through sports. Therefore:
- CYOA recognizes and celebrates the unique gifts that each
young person brings to the team.
- Athletic Directors, Coaches, players and parents exemplify
Christian values by their behavior and attitude.
- CYOA
is understood as one tool for hospitality to reach out to all members of the
parish.
